Your IP drifts.
Your name holds.
Namehaven anchors a permanent hostname to your ever-changing home IP. VPN, NAS, cameras, game servers — always reachable, from your router or one line of curl.

Anchored in three steps
Claim your hostname
Pick a name like home.dyn.dyndnsip.com — free accounts get 50 of them.
Drop a token in your router
Any dyndns2 client works: paste one URL and one token, done in two minutes.
Forget your IP forever
Every time your ISP shuffles your address, the record updates within seconds.
Built like infrastructure,
not an afterthought
Speaks router
The standard dyndns2 protocol — good / nochg / badauth — no custom firmware, no agents.
60-second propagation
Low-TTL records served by our own authoritative DNS. A change is live within a minute.
IPv4 + IPv6 together
A and AAAA side by side; update both in a single request.
Scoped credentials
Account tokens for your fleet, per-hostname secrets for the router you don't fully trust. Everything stored hashed.
Full audit trail
Every update attempt logged — result, IP, client, user-agent — right in your dashboard.
Self-hosted, your rules
Your zone, your database, your server. No third party between your name and your network.
The whole integration
is one line
No SDK, no agent, no vendor lock-in. If it can make an HTTPS request, it can keep your name pointed home.
# cron, router script, anywhere:
curl -u x:$TOKEN "https://dyndnsip.com/api/v1/update?hostname=you.dyn.dyndnsip.com"
Free for homelabs.
Serious for fleets.

What is dynamic DNS?+
Home and small-office connections get a new IP address whenever the ISP feels like it. Dynamic DNS keeps a fixed hostname pointed at that moving target, so your VPN, camera, NAS or game server stays reachable at the same name.
Which routers and clients are supported?+
Anything that speaks the dyndns2 protocol: MikroTik RouterOS, ASUS routers, pfSense/OPNsense, DD-WRT, ddclient, inadyn — or a one-line curl in a cron job. Setup guides for each are in the docs.
How fast do changes propagate?+
Records carry a 60-second TTL and are served by our own authoritative nameservers, so resolvers worldwide pick up a new IP within about a minute.
Is the free tier actually free?+
Yes — 50 hostnames, IPv4 + IPv6, the full API and update history. Paid plans exist for people who need hundreds of names.
